Vulcan Quality Inventory Inspector

The Quality Inventory Inspector works independently as part of the Quality team and is required to receive all inventory and non-inventory goods and services as well as perform receiving and final inspections.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Frequently monitor the delivery of goods and services to ensure timely receipt.Responsible for prompt receiving of inventory and non-inventory items.Responsible for maintaining and adding suppliers to the Approved Supplier List.Act as the primary back-up for Final Inspection and as an additional resource when Final Inspection requires additional resources.Inspect device components and finished devices following inspection instructions and established procedures.Compile and communicate supplier data to Quality management.Perform receiving inspections on ordered products as well as the receiving of goods and services utilizing various software platforms.

 

Qualifications:

 

Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication.Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word.        Experience with Excel desired.Ability to prioritize work and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.Ability to use hand-held inspection instruments (micrometer, calipers, etc.).Ability to understand and follow directions, complex policies and procedures.Strong focus on detail and accuracy.

 

Education and/or Experience: 

High School graduate or equivalent required.Associate or bachelor’s Degree preferred.Experience in receiving inspection preferred.Minimum one year experience in a regulated medical device or international quality standard-based system required.
