Job Description This position is responsible for the effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, door access control, and related infrastructure at the San Antonio facility. This position will ensure system integrity, availability, and security, as well as manage email resources for the university. This position reports to the Director of Infrastructure Services. The position will mostly support the velocity access control system and maintain a student lab environment in Vsphere. Other work will include supporting various virtual servers (add remove accounts, troubleshoot issues) under supervision of senior system admins. This is an mid level, we expect to teach the individual our systems, but must have baseline knowledge and at least a couple years of windows server support along with virtual machine support via Vsphere. Skills and Requirements - Bachelors degree or 4 years of higher education, preferably in a computer-related field; two years of relevant work experience may substitute for one year of higher education. - Five years of work experience in Windows Server administration required; - Intermediate knowledge of current Microsoft Windows Server systems administration, including the application of security controls and the configuration and troubleshooting of network communications. - Intermediate knowledge of server virtualization and storage area networking technologies; VMware experience - three years of experience managing a Microsoft Exchange environment preferred. - two years of experience managing SAN hardware and virtual servers and/or Experience managing a Microsoft IIS or Apache server preferred, two years of experience managing a Microsoft SQL or MySQL server preferred. null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
