You Might Be the Perfect Fit if You: 

Hold a high school diploma or GED, completion of DCF 45 hours, 1 year of experience in a children's classroom, and the ability to pass a background check; additionally, possess one of the following: a CDA or FCCPC with VPK training, or a degree in education or child development, with specific qualifications for teaching children from birth through 8 years of age. Have genuine empathy and understanding of children's needs and development.  Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to meet community needs and respond to changing circumstances. Capable of meeting the physical demands of working with children.

Responsibilities

Your Role as a VPK Lead Teacher: 

We are looking for enthusiastic educators like YOU, committed to excellence in early childhood education and dedicated to creating a supportive environment that aligns with Florida's Office of Early Learning standards and the comprehensive VPK curriculum. In this pivotal role, you will manage classroom activities, foster a nurturing and positive relationship with both children and their families, and implement a wide range of learning experiences. These experiences will cover crucial areas such as physical health, social-emotional development, and academic skills, including logic, language, literacy, and more. Your responsibilities extend to conducting detailed assessments to tailor instruction and support each child's unique journey, including those with disabilities. Our holistic approach values outdoor activities as much as indoor, with both settings designed to encourage active, engaged learning. Adhering to stringent health and safety guidelines, maintaining thorough documentation, and ensuring open communication with parents are also key aspects of your role.
