VP- Supply Chain

Summary:

Determines for the overall strategic direction, as well as the tactical execution, of all aspects of supply chain operations for The MetroHealth System. Develops, negotiates, and executes a system-wide contracting plan focused in the areas of contract services and physician preference areas, while maximizing diversity opportunities. Reviews and optimizes the group purchasing organization (GPO) contract portfolio, developing comprehensive clinical and utilization protocols, and developing and executing a product standardization plan for the entire system. Ensures optimal operating efficiency and fiscal effectiveness of the Supply Chain function. Manages assigned personnel. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.

Ten (10) years of experience in supply chain, to include at least seven (7) years in progressively responsible management or supervisory roles.

Proven success as a dynamic and empowering leader who possesses a positive attitude to instill a vision for excellence with innovation and creativity.

Ability to think outside the box and position the organization as a leader in healthcare supply chain.

Demonstrated record of initiating change and innovation.

Experience in successful negotiation of large vendor contracts.

Extensive knowledge of supply-chain automation and information systems.

Experience in preparing operating and capital budgets.

Ability to organize and present data in a concise and easily understood manner.

Strategic-thinking, planning, and problem-solving skills.

Superior communication skills, both in written and verbal presentation.

Demonstrated exemplary presentation skills to engage and motivate organizational stakeholders.

Proven success in developing a high-performing staff.

Preferred:

Master's degree

Certification from Association for Healthcare Resource and Materials Management (AHRMM), CMRP, or Institute for Supply Management (CPSM)

Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.
