Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to define and implement the marketing strategy in the assigned area (business area, division, and markets). Each day, you will lead, develop, and coach the Marketing team. You will also showcase your expertise by designing and managing the marketing action plan to achieve the key qualitative and quantitative targets in a profitable way and to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.The work model for the role is hybrid, and the position is contributing to the Process Automation Energy Industries division in the United States.You will be mainly accountable for:Creating, planning, and implementing the marketing (and communications) strategies for the assigned area in accordance with the business area/division marketing and sales strategy and budget.Developing action plans to deliver the agreed marketing (and communications) strategy within the budget.Defining the marketing targets for the assigned area and ensuring their achievement; and anticipating changes in the market direction proactively and facilitating timely and appropriate remedial action.Identifying existing and new strategic segments and business opportunities through market analysis, defining strategy/business plans for each opportunity, and coordinating with the relevant teams for the assigned area.

Qualifications for the role

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or Master’s) preferred.12+ years of progressive marketing experience, with a focus on B2B marketing leadership and integrated communications.Proven success leading teams in dynamic, matrixed environments—ideally in the energy or industrial sectors.Comprehensive knowledge of digital marketing, public relations, event management, brand communications, and omni-channel campaign design.Understands and adheres to compliance regulations (e.g., data privacy, industry standards) within the marketing sphere.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
