VP Financial Planning & Analysis
All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with VITAS Healthcare Corporation’s policies, procedures, guidelines, contractual commitments and governmental regulations.
• Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies to support VITAS Healthcare’s long-term objectives and growth plans. Collaborate with executive leadership to align financial goals with overall business strategy. • Financial Planning & Forecasting: Oversee the annual budgeting process, including financial forecasts and long-term planning. Ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial projections and monitor performance against budgets. • Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analyses to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support decision-making and enhance financial performance. • Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of financial strategies and operations. Report on financial performance and provide insights to senior management. • Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to the executive team and Board of Directors. Ensure clear and concise communication of financial information and strategic recommendations. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to gather and analyze data, provide financial guidance, and support operational decision-making. Foster strong relationships across the organization to drive financial and operational alignment. • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial planning and analysis functions. Lead initiatives to streamline financial operations and reporting processes. • Training & Development: Develop and mentor the FP&A team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the team's capabilities and performance. • Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to financial regulations, policies, and internal controls. Monitor and manage financial risks and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and practices. • Performs related duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 
Experience: • Minimum of (10) ten years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least five years in senior leadership roles. • Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management. • Proven track record of strategic thinking and problem solving in a complex financial environment. • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with senior management and external stakeholders. • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing high performing teams, including training and development. • Advance knowledge of financial software & systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. • High level of integrity and professionalism.  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to a dynamic environment. • Commitment to ethical practices and continuous improvement. • A hands-on approach with the ability to roll up sleeves and engage directly with operational and financial tasks as needed.
Education:  Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related field; MBA preferred. 
Certification & Licensure: CPA or/and CFA preferred.
