Kforce has a client in Evansville, IN that is seeking a VP/Director to lead their AWS cloud-based services, practices and delivery pipelines. This includes enterprise class service catalog spanning services in AWS, networking, application, and middleware services. Summary: While being cloud focused, the VP/Director of Cloud Ops will identify and execute opportunities to extend the cloud back into datacenter. Cloud Operations Engineering is developer focused through self-service, continuous delivery and continuous integration capabilities. They will drive environmental separation of concerns protecting critical data. They play a critical role promoting infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), enhancing operational efficiency and enabling scalable, reliable delivery of infrastructure. Duties: * Setting the standards and practices, driving adoption across the engineering organization * Manages a team of highly skilled DevOps engineers embedded in delivery teams to realize objectives driven through cloud operations * Lead the organization's cloud and DevOps strategy, ensuring successful delivery of complex technical solutions across our operating companies * Define and implement the global strategy for DevOps practices, aligning it with the overall organizational goals and objectives * Work closely with multiple stakeholders including engineering, Information Security, networking to oversee the successful delivery of complex technical solutions, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery * Manage expenses to budget and always focus on optimizing the portfolio for streamlined operation * Drive innovation within the organization by promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement in cloud and DevOps practices
