VP, Strategic Partnerships - Renters

Chubb is at the forefront of transforming the high-end Renters vertical. Our mission is to revolutionize the way renters find, secure, and manage their insurance through innovative technology and strategic collaboration.  We believe in creating a seamless experience for renters while empowering landlords and property managers to operate more efficiently. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Strategic Partnerships to lead our partnership efforts as we build and scale our business in the high-end rental ecosystem.

As the VP of Strategic Partnerships-Renters, you will be responsible to for developing and executing a comprehensive go-to-market partnership strategy that aligns with our business goals and vision for differentiating Chubb in the space. You will spearhead the strategic growth and market expansion of our insurance offerings across key verticals in the United States.   This role exists to identify and capitalize on traditional distribution through property managers, as well as emerging opportunities within dynamic sectors such as prop tech, digital natives, payment systems, SaaS platforms, fintech, real estate and more which are increasingly integrating insurance solutions into their business models. You will play a critical role in identifying, negotiating, and nurturing relationships with key partners. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of the rental market landscape. 

The VP Strategic Partnerships Manager is tasked with developing and executing innovative strategies that not only drive revenue growth but also enhance the company’s competitive positioning within the consumer insurance market. By fostering strategic partnerships and building strong relationships with stakeholders, this role plays a critical part in transforming market insights and trends into actionable business strategies that resonate with clients' evolving needs.

What distinguishes this role from other positions within the organization is its dual focus on strategic vision and tactical execution. While many roles may concentrate on sales or existing client management, the VP, Strategic Partnerships Manager is at the forefront of exploring new avenues for growth and forging new paths in an ever-evolving landscape. This position requires a unique blend of market insight, sales acumen, and relationship-building skills, making it essential for driving innovation within the consumer insurance space.

The role requires influence management skills, as the VP Strategic Partnerships Manager, will work cross-functionally and collaborate with marketing, product development, sales, partner success, customer success and technology departments to align efforts and ensure cohesive execution of strategies. Geographically, the scope of the role covers the entire United States, requiring a keen understanding of regional market dynamics and customer preferences to tailor strategies effectively. As such, the VP Strategic Partnerships Manager will also be expected to travel as needed to engage with clients, partners, and industry events across the country.

This role reports to the SVP, Head of Digital Partnerships in North America.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Development: Create and execute a partnership strategy that enhances our position in the high-end Renters ecosystem, drives business growth, and achieves revenue targets.  Identify key industry verticals and distribution channels targeting high net worth renters and build a robust pipeline of partnership opportunities. Build sales pitch and differentiated offerings to distinguish Chubb in the market. Relationship Management: Identify potential strategic partners, engage them in meaningful dialogue, and cultivate long-term relationships that create mutual value and drive new business revenue.  Negotiation & Contracts: Lead negotiations and manage the contracting process with partners to ensure favorable terms and alignment with our strategic objectives. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including product, marketing, and sales, to ensure effective implementation and promotion of partnership initiatives. Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling value propositions and marketing materials. Market Analysis: Conduct market research to inform strategic decisions and product development. Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify new partnership opportunities that align with our goals.  Performance Measurement: Lead sales initiatives, including prospecting, pitching, and closing deals to meet or exceed revenue targets. Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the success of partnerships and report on performance to the executive team. Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities, sales performance, and market insights to senior management.  Thought Leadership: Represent Chubb at industry events, conferences, and forums to promote our vision and partnership opportunities.

 

Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Finance, or a related fieldProficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite

Experience Required

At least 10 years of experience in business development, partnership management, or a related role with a focus on strategic partnerships. Experience in the consumer insurance industry with specialized knowledge and understanding of the renters vertical required. Insuretech experience a plus.Strong understanding of consumer insurance products and market dynamics.Proven track record to develop and execute strategic partnerships aligned with business objectives, resulting in significant revenue growth. Strong analytical skills to assess market trends, identify partnership opportunities, and evaluate partner performance.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with executive-level stakeholders and partners. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
