The Vice President, Retirement Director will be responsible for meeting/exceeding sales goals, developing new and maintaining existing client relationships with Investment Professionals in a defined territory.
The Expertise We’re Looking For
8+ years of relevant sales experience, preferably within the Retirement market and working with Investment Professionals/Employers. Series 7 and 63 licenses required.The Purpose of Our Role
Fidelity’s Retirement Director (field-based retirement plan specialist), will need to work collaboratively with an internal partner to develop, target and build a business plan for a specific territory. Prospective clients are developed through multiple strategies including internal distribution partners and through investment professionals at financial institutions nationwide, including wirehouses, regional and independent broker/dealers, banks, trust companies and insurance companies, registered investment advisors and consultants.

Consistent travel throughout territory to generate new sales and proposal activity. Increase number of Investment Professionals doing business with Fidelity Investments. Maintain and document sales activity to ensure production levels. Maintain and improve existing relationships through increased interaction, introduction of sales ideas and marketing support. Sponsor and participate in client seminars and events to increase an Investment Professional's business. Work with internal partners to provide clients with outstanding service, marketing support, and issue resolution. Offer Investment Professionals our retirement plan expertise to help build their business through prospecting and lead generation ideas, industry trends, and insightful competitive data.How Our Work Impacts the Organization
We are responsible for improving client relationships by assessing their business needs and offering creative solutions through Fidelity’s 401(k) solutions, education and services.
The base salary range for this position is $75,000 – $100,000 per year.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
