The VP, Head of Infrastructure and Engineering is responsible for the implementation and operations of all technology infrastructure which includes Service Desk, desktop support, network, WAN, server services, file stores, routers, firewalls, Azure and other cloud services, M365, SharePoint, mobile\landline\VOIP telephony, ITSM Platform, etc. This position is operationally responsible for ensuring the security, availability, integrity, and confidentiality for IT infrastructure.  The VP, Head of Infrastructure and Engineering is responsible for both build and run and will partner closely with our Strategy and Architecture, Applications, and Cyber Security teams.  We are a cloud-oriented organization, and our infrastructure is predominately cloud based.

Job DescriptionReporting to the Chief Information Officer, leads the technology infrastructure strategy, roadmap, and execution for the enterprise.Planning, project management and implementation leadership, identifying opportunities for automation, cost savings, and service quality improvement. Provides infrastructure services vision, enables innovation, and seeks to leverage IT trends that can create business value consistent with the company’s requirements and expectations. Development and implementation of mature Infrastructure service management processes.Conducts product and vendor evaluations ensuring best in class technologies and partners Works closely with and manages strategic vendor partner relationships. Setup and run the Governance with the partners.Build strategic relationships for creating value for the organization.Participate in the formulation of the company's enterprise architecture and business system plans; assessing cost and feasibility, and ensuring the plan is aligned with and supports the strategic goals of the business. Hands-on technical depth enables direct oversight, problem-solving leadership and participation for complex infrastructure implementation, system upgrades and operational troubleshooting. Experience with comprehensive disaster recovery architecture and operations, highly available network architecture and supporting SAAS implementations.Closely manage Infrastructure budget.Leadership for delivery of 24/7 service operations and KPI compliance. 

Qualifications15 years of work experience with a BS/MS in Computer Science / Computer Engineering, Science or Math, or at least 12+ years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g., Masters/MBA)Professional Level English fluency both verbal and written12+ years IT Infrastructure experience10+ years leadership experience5+ years experience leading remote teams, including outside of the US.Clearly demonstrates the ability to independently and rapidly transform a complex business need from an initial concept or vaguely defined requirement into a well-articulated plan with clearly scoped technical deliverables and well-established timelines, demonstrates capability to align effectively with business stakeholders, superior tactical execution, and strategic planning capabilitiesDemonstrates the ability to regularly drive the conception and development of extremely high-quality deliverables to completion on schedule with minimal guidance, input, and supervision; lucidly and concisely communicates plans and strategies, experience with end-to-end project managementOperates effectively with many stakeholders throughout the business.  Easy to business with.  Effectively negotiates commitments in a manner that respects business priorities and provides context around costs, risks, and workable timelines.Experience in an acquisitive organization.  Effectively supports the timely onboarding of relevant infrastructure within the acquisitions.Demonstrates clear thought-leadership and the ability to guide projects and teams toward solutions; asks and answers ‘what is the next step?’ without input; leads through expertise over requiring leadership, finds solutionsDemonstrated success leading a direct team in a rapidly growing organizationSelf-motivated with the ability to exercise independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisorDemonstrated experience leading an organization through significant changeExperience leading both build and runExtensive experience with Azure and the Microsoft infrastructure stack including O365Experience defining and implementing ITIL processesExperience in global organization / multi-country environmentExperience with regulatory compliance issues, as well best practices in application and network securityHighly collaborative with a high level of attention to detail

Travel minimalMay be fully remote (high-speed stable internet and quiet working environment required) or based in Medellin Colombia or Mexico City

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $180,000 - $225,000. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
