Key Responsibilities
Budget / CAPEX – Taking ownership of the mill division 6-year capital improvement roadmap. Manage the mill division’s $2 billion capital improvement projects focused on automation, cost savings, ESG, and infrastructure improvement. Stakeholder Management – Partner cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders on contractual negotiations and expectations for each capital improvement project. Continuous Improvement - Drive continuous improvement projects and processes through use of engineering and technical solutions. Engineering - Explore and implement operational and manufacturing technology solutions that support the ESG agenda and enable operational excellence, including leveraging data systems and direct inspections to assess and monitor equipment for output quality, variability, reliability, and rate. Project Management - Implement and utilize project management best practices to help ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of engineering initiatives. Talent Development Hire, mentor, develop, and lead a team of multi-disciplined electrical and mechanical engineers.
Key experiences
15+ years of broad electrical or mechanical engineering leadership experience in a large manufacturing company
Has held a variety of progressive leadership roles in a complex manufacturing environment with multi-site management responsibility across a large geographic footprint.
Track record of leading large capital projects ($150 million plus), in fast-paced manufacturing facilities
Demonstrated experience in setting direction for capital portfolio alignment to business needs and providing site support asset strategies, project development and execution.
Industry experience
Industry B2B experience in fast-paced, high-volume businesses, such as food and beverage, automotive, or other operationally driven environments that compete on quality, cost, customer service and innovation. Knows the levers to pull within the operations to deliver on commitments and develop and execute contingency plans.
Well-developed business and financial skills
Ability to make sound financial judgements regarding investments, returns, and overall financial impacts. Demonstrated strengths with respect to working capital, free cash flow, pricing strategies and negotiation tactics.
Team builder and relationship developer
Proven ability to attract, develop, motivate, retain, and lead a high-performing team of professionals. Maintains a track record of developing and implementing performance metrics that are correlated with success, while holding a leadership team strictly accountable for results.
Education
An undergraduate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering. An M.B.A. or master's degree, especially with a concentration in a related field, is considered a plus.

Pay Range: $229,700.00 - $306,200.00
