Job Description Summary:

PayPal’s US large Enterprise team focusses on empowering clients on their digital journey, from identifying new opportunities to delivering solutions that result in improved business outcomes and customer experience and drive revenue growth for PayPal.

Reporting to SVP & GM North America Large Enterprise, VP Digital Money & Commerce Solutions – US LE will have strategic and leadership role responsible for driving business growth, client acquisition, and revenue generation. This role involves overseeing commercial strategy and operations tailored for large enterprise clients, as well as developing partnerships, managing teams, and ensuring a competitive market position.

This leader will hold responsibility for Vertical which consists of RMG & Marketplaces, Finance/Business Service & Crypto and Captive lending, bill pay and crypto. He / she will oversee the three sub-industry leaders, each responsible for one of the 3 areas for ensuring that strategies are aligned across these high-consumer-engagement sectors such as the above.​ This leader will oversee a large team of Account Managers focusing on these verticals and industries.

Job Description:

Responsibilities: 

Lead a team that is aligned with the vision and values of PayPal and focused on value creation for our clients and partners. Coach and enable the team to exceed objectives and outcomes through creating an environment of adapting and learning. Attract and retain talent and invest in the growth of individuals. 

Inspire the team to develop relationship and credibility required to effectively convey the value of PayPal’s solutions and vision to C-level executives and negotiate favorable commercial terms, contracts and agreements that create sustainable, long-term value for all parties.  

Lead the development and dynamic strategic plan for our Large Enterprise clients, detailing insights and opportunities that align with our clients’ priorities. Coordinate and lead the impact and delivery of a diverse set of experts and stakeholders to achieve the client’s goals, through driving accountability to deliver in line with expectations. Anticipate future needs through deep strategic alignment and executive to executive alignment. 

Execute strategies with assigned accounts that ensure high volume sales plans, yield gain and open new opportunities at all levels. 

Lead strategy with key internal and external partners, to ensure that there is a distinct vertical focus, with commercial and technical decision makers fully aligned so that joint investment plans grow sales and partner impact is leveraged through deep relationships, industry influence and domain expertise. 

Proactively solicit feedback on client needs, products and features that are critical for our clients.  Have a strong understanding of the client’s business model to ensure that all commercial and technical discussions are in context and relevant to the industry vertical. 

Engage in strategic discussions to transform customer business models, that in turn transforms their customer experience and profitability.  Leverage unique insights and services that create value added services for or clients 

Proactively own and elevate a transformative customer stakeholder engagement strategy to foster customer trust and brand growth and loyalty.  Define and execute governance models to ensure mapping across seniority levels. 

Own the development of business transformation and co-innovations strategy for the client portfolio 

Earns and maintains status as thoughts leader and trusted advisor to assigned accounts C-level business decision makers by bringing innovative ideas and narratives. Create and qualifies new opportunities by identifying highly strategic opportunities. 

Provide regular updates to the top leadership on commercial performance, market opportunities, and strategic initiatives. 

Own operational hygiene activities across portfolio, including forecasting, product alignment, pipeline management, HR activities etc.  

 

Qualifications: 

15+ years’ experience in sales, business development or relationship management with ecommerce and/or channel partners. 

10+ years’ experience in ecommerce, merchant services, and/or acquiring industry. Familiarity with ecommerce technology preferred. 

Deep experience in developing, leading, and a highly successful commercial team in United States. 

Deep understanding of fintech products, including payment solutions, financial platforms, and digital banking. Strong knowledge of payments industry, PayPal products, our competitors, and geographic nuances to inform a winning strategy. 

Proven track record of managing multi-million-dollar commercial operations with a strong focus on revenue generation, client acquisition, and P&L management. 

Deep customer insights on leading payment needs/requirements, growing markets and customers and key customer touchpoints across the sales segments. 

Experience of working across functional groups to achieve common objectives serve as part of a collaborative, hands-on executive team. 

Demonstrated record of executing against goals with a true executive mindset (e.g., builds a disciplined environment, knows when to get in the details vs. delegate) 

Business acumen and a strong understanding of product strategy. You excel at identifying business opportunities and navigating commercial challenges.  

Distinctive problem-solving, strategic, and analytical capabilities, and experience building trusted relationships with executive stakeholders. 

Ability to communicate, present, and craft compelling narratives to influence internal and external technical and business stakeholders at C-suite levels and across diverse teams at all levels. 

Deep comfort operating in the ambiguity of an ever-evolving product that operates at scale globally.  

BS/BA required, MBA or Masters Degree a plus.
