Abacus Technology is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to provide logistical support and coordination for event activities at Kennedy Space Center. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities Identify the number of docents or volunteers required to support an upcoming event. Schedule volunteer coverage for events and activities. Coordinate with departments or project teams to ensure volunteers are given appropriate instructions for their responsibilities on that particular assignment. Directly interface with NASA visitors, including VIPs, as well as government management and customers. Qualifications5+ years experience in event planning and coordination. High School diploma or GED. Experience working with non-profit organizations desired. Experience in quickly resolving issues requiring rapid-turn around. Must be proactive, and customer and results-oriented. Must have outstanding communication skills and be comfortable interacting with people. Must be a US citizen.
