Vista ERP Business Analyst for EMCOR Construction Services

POSITION SUMMARY

The ERP Business Analyst provides ERP support and analysis to EMCOR Construction Services (ECS) companies.   Systems supported include primarily Vista applications and other business systems. Currently our ECS team supports 17 Vista companies who have already implemented the software and we have 6 implementations in process or planned in the future.  This position would primarily be dedicated to assisting with new implementation planning, training and end user support, but would also assist as needed with projects related to support of our broader Vista community.

The ECS Headquarters is located in McLean, VA. However, candidates in other locations and meeting the requirements will be considered as this position can be performed remotely by a successful candidate located near a major airport and able to travel up to 25% by car (as passenger or driver) or by airplane.

Compensation Range:   $100,000 - $125,000

Other Compensation:  Position is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus in accordance with Company policy

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties likely will be assigned.

Support the ERP implementation team with focus on operations application and business processes. Respond to end user requests for assistance; troubleshoot reported issues and work closely with the Application Administrator using ticketing system. Develop and document business, technical system and application processes, functions and procedures. Manage additional ERP and ECS initiatives and projects as requested; may require analysis of financial and other reports, report preparation and other documentation. Assist end users with evaluating options for process improvement through utilization of Vista tools and technology Support end user training and roll-out of software best practices Work with team to track progress and organize implementation project plan steps to make sure that critical path items are being properly prioritized and schedule is maintained

Knowledgeable of the construction phase of capital projects life cycle (concept to design and build through operations and maintenance). Understanding of project accounting processes and principles in a construction environment. Possess excellent organizational skills and self-direction; work independently with limited supervision, exercise initiative within established procedural guidelines, and organize and prioritize work to meet established deadlines. Have exceptional communication skills, written and; oral, capable of leading meetings in a professional manner. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to read and interpret communication styles of diverse team members who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines. Be a proactive agent for change and competently follow through on initiatives to conclusion.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

Five or more (5+) years of experience in construction or related industry. Extensive knowledge of Vista software, including Vista Web, required Lead role in an ERP implementation (accounting or operations). Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel.

Characteristics of work experience should demonstrate a background with a bias for action, management of complex multiple tasks and experience working in a multi-disciplined environment.
