Visiting Lecturer in Political Theory

The Department of Political Science seeks to hire a Visiting Lecturer in Political Theory beginning in August 2025. We seek candidates who are committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching and who can offer courses in one or more of the following areas: colonialism and post-colonial thought; comparative political theory; indigenous political thought; ecology and environmental justice; or political economy. In addition, candidates should be prepared to teach courses including Introduction to Political Theory and survey courses on modern and contemporary political theory. This is a one-year position renewable for up to two additional years pending budgetary approval. The teaching load is 3-3.

Applicants are required to have or expect to have a Ph.D. in Political Science or a related field before the appointment begins.
