Kforce has a client that is seeking a Virtualization Engineer in Reston, VA. Responsibilities: * Virtualization Engineer will design, deploy, and support all aspects of VMware and Oracle KVM virtualization platforms * Monitor and maintain the virtual environment's health, performance, and capacity to ensure optimal operation and availability * Performs daily operations support functions in a 24x7 environment - including system deployments, patching, installation, configuration, maintenance, problem isolation and resolution within production, QA and development environments; Environments include physical servers, virtualization, operating systems, and automation tools * Documentation of processes, procedures, configurations, and deployment plans * As a Virtualization Engineer, you will provide incident response and root cause/mitigation to include security vulnerabilities, performance degradation and system outage analysis * Participates in team on-call rotation and planned weekend activities
