In this role, you will:
Lead or contribute to detailed technical solution design and implementation concepts spanning technology and businessDesign, build, deploy and maintain infrastructure solutions through collaborative efforts with a team and third-party partners.evelop specifications for complex infrastructure systems, design and test solutionsContribute to the testing of business, application and technical infrastructure requirementsDrive solutions to improve resiliency and reduce recovery timesEvaluate internal and external software solutions which could be leveraged to meet target state architecture goals.Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practicesParticipate in various projects intended to continually improve or upgrade the infrastructure.Resolve troublesome trends as they developDevelop a long range plan designed to resolve problems and prevent them from recurringDirect the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure successCollaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goalsRecommend courses of action to maintain cost effectiveness and achieve results.
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education3+ years of Distributed Infrastructure and/or related IT Infrastructure experience3+ years experience with Distributed Compute: Virtualization, Server Infrastructure, Converged/Hyper-Converged hosting3+ years experience with Hypervisors: VMware, Nutanix2+ years of scripting and/or automation experience1+ years of Operating Systems: Windows, Linux
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working in agile product teams in a highly regulated financial services industryExperience with converged and/or hyper-converged infrastructure solutions at-scale in a large enterpriseExperience with virtualization and virtual hosting technologies and administrationExperience with software-defined networking technology such as NSX-T.Experience mentoring high-performing, mid-level engineersExperience with taking software/hardware products and services from inception to customer deliveryProven experience transforming to and/or managing infrastructure functions in a product model construct, which would include participation in product roadmap planning and feature/backlog prioritizationLanguages: Python, Shell, PowerShell and integrating with API’sAdvanced scripting skills specifically around automation to include familiarity with VMWare Aria/VRA, Nutanix Calm, Ansible, and similarExperience with Infrastructure-as-Code delivery and management.Familiarity with Cloud hosting concepts and operating modelsAbility to operate effectively in a geographically dispersed organization.Customer focused, service-oriented attitude
