Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

NBC Universal is hiring an Associate, Virtual Channels to help build, maintain and support Peacock’s channels portfolio at our direct-to-consumer streaming service, Peacock.

Peacock’s Virtual Channels team leads the programming, scheduling, operations and measurement of a portfolio of 24/7 linear and on-demand video channels streaming an array of entertainment, news and sports content. In developing lean-back program schedules that span Saturday Night Live, NBC News and the WWE, the team plays a key role in establishing Peacock’s leadership in the streaming TV space.

We are looking for a proactive, curious candidate who is eager to assist in the conception, programming, and upkeep of Peacock’s linear and video-on-demand virtual channels. Under the guidance of the Senior Manager, Virtual Channels, you will work directly in a variety of digital publishing systems to manage daily schedules that power channels appearing on Peacock itself and in linear experiences on partner platforms, as well as review and recommend television and film content from the Peacock catalog. In addition, you will access numerous tools to gather performance data and derive insights you can use to optimize programming lineups and drive consumption.

This is a hands-on role involving close collaboration with both creative and technical partners. We seek a highly motivated, intensely creative individual who can operate independently, is adept at swiftly handling change and is comfortable with troubleshooting challenges in constantly evolving technical systems.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a related fieldMinimum 2+ years’ experience with streaming media operations; film/TV program scheduling experience a plusWorking knowledge of Microsoft 365 (including OneDrive and SharePoint), AirTable, as well as data measurement and analysis tools such as Tableau/PAVOExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong collaborative and interpersonal skillsSelf-starter and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environmentExceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask

Desired Characteristics:

Experience working in streaming media operations role preferredA passion for television and moviesGeneral understanding of content publishing operations or administration for a streaming serviceDemonstrable ability to manage an ever-changing content pipeline 7 days a week

Additional Requirements:

 This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
