SUMMARY
ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a VIP Server position with ASM Global/Boeing Center at Tech Port. The VIP server will provide professional client food and beverage services and support in the planning, organization, and management of events within the facility, while interacting with clients, facility staff and related personnel to assure all event needs are fulfilled.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides guest with exceptional, professional, and attentive food and beverage service within Assist with the preparation and set-up.Report any guest concerns and/or complaints to Food and Beverage Manager.Provide guidance and support to the temporary staff assigned to an event.Assist in any and all side work including but not limited to: cleaning and filling salt and pepper containers, sugar dishes, and creamers; collecting banquet equipment such as flatware, china, glassware, and serving pieces; and preparing garnishes, beverages, condiments, and bread.Other duties as assignedEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) requiredMust be TABC and Texas Food Handlers certified5 years food service or restaurant experience requiredSKILLS AND ABILITIES
Minimum 21 years of age.Strong orientation to customer service and ability to work with other staff members in the facility.Results oriented individual with the ability to meet required budgetary goals.Excellent organizational, planning, communication, and inter-personal skills.Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks.Attention to detail and service oriented.Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers.Ability to work in both inside and outside environmental conditionsMaintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patron and others encountered in the course of employment.Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines. Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.WORKING CONDITIONS
