You will work on a solar project located in Irak. However, you will be based in Dubai and will not travel to Irak.

This VIE mission involves the financial and accounting aspects of Ratawi Solar project.

As an Accounting and Controlling Analyst, the main missions will be as follows :

1/ Reporting :

• Assisting in monthly closing, preparation of monthly reporting including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cashflow, etc ; 

• Assisting in extraction of Trial balance data from MBC and preparation of reports. Monitor WBS and cost center ;

• Coordination with Headquarters Finance team for preparation of journal vouchers, accruals, making schedules, clearing and related works ;

• Coordination with different teams and departments for reporting related activities ;

• Helping with preparation of IFRS schedules, when needed ;

• Helping with preparation and review of bank reconciliation statement ;

• Assist in review of corporate tax, submission of WHT (with-holding tax) to the authorities, tax filing ;

• Coordinate with local auditor for branch audit and other regulatory requirement. 

2/ Analysis and Cost Monitoring : 

• Preparation and monitoring of monthly Opex, Capex and balance sheet analysis for the project cost ;

• Assisting in conducting detailed analysis of different costs for the project and ensure they are correctly booked ;

• Assisting in monitoring project cost incurred and comparison with budget ;

• Conducting various analysis for different financial parameters and preparation of dashboards for management and partners ;

• Assisting in preparation of different MIS.

3/ Budget and Long-Term Plan (LTP) : 

• Assisting in preparation of Annual Budget and Long Term Plan (LTP) for the project ;

• Coordinate with other functions of TotalEnergies Finance and other departments to gather necessary information and data ;

• Conducting analysis to help with Budget and LTP work ;

• Assisting in annual audit for the affiliates ;

• Coordinate with the auditor, respond to queries when needed.

Candidate Profile

Expected qualifications:

MSc degree in finance and accounting

Technical skills:

Understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) rules, IAS, accounting principlesUnderstanding of controlling activities, closing and maintaining of books of accountsKnowledge in Long term planning and budgeting exercise

Computing skills:

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerpointGood knowledge of an ERP tool

Languages:

English: level C1French: level B2/C1
