Summary\:
The videographer for the Fox School of Business and School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management (STHM) conceptualizes, captures and produces video (primary) and photography (secondary) content to support communications and marketing initiatives designed to attract prospective students at all levels, support and share faculty research, increase alumni and donor engagement, and enhance the overall schools’ brand and recognition in the business community that serves Greater Philadelphia and beyond.

The incumbent will work in a collaborative environment within Fox and STHM’s Marketing and Communications Department and contribute by bringing creative, bold and impactful approaches that capture the strengths and unique qualities of stakeholders, programs and offerings at Fox and STHM. The incumbent should be proactive in identifying new video and photo opportunities to strengthen the reputation and communicate brand messaging consistent with the school’s marketing and communications strategies. 

Target audiences include current and prospective students, faculty, staff, alumni, business and industry partners, and other stakeholders. Distribution channels (and are not limited to) plasma screens, monitors, school websites, digital advertising, electronic communications, social media, print products, legacy projects and other communication and marketing channels as needed. The incumbent will also be expected to coordinate and manage updating content for plasma screens and some monitors across Fox and STHM buildings on the university’s Main Campus. 


Produce, edit and direct high-quality video and photo content for use by the Fox and STHM communications and marketing team in a variety of ways. In consultation with the communications and marketing team leadership, assist in determining the creative approach(es) best suited for each video or photo. Responsible for successful completion of all video and photography steps through final editing and delivery. Ensures consistency and quality of product.
Determine equipment, lighting, shooting angle, sound, etc. needed for each assignment and location (on campus, in studio or on location in the region).


Collaborate with web team to integrate video into online content, promotions, websites and other determined usage. Test and monitor all video, lighting and sound equipment to ensure proper function, maintain inventory and repairs, and make suggestions for potential improvements when applicable. Ability to create motion graphic animations is a plus.


Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience\: Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of related experience in videography, film, multimedia journalism/communications, media production/marketing, advertising, or visual arts, producing video content for marketing purposes in varied settings (in-studio, on-location, etc.). An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.


Required Skills & Abilities\:
*Skilled in operating video/photo cameras and related audiovisual equipment
*Skilled in video/photo production and editing software, specifically\:  Premiere, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop
*Knowledge of lighting, camera focus, angles, sound levels and other technical factors
*Knowledge of applications, usages, and trends for web or social media based video content
*Ability to apply concepts and best practices in marketing/communications to video production projects
*Ability to work in both a studio environment and on location video shoots
*Skilled in managing multiple projects and assignments, meeting deadlines, and ensuring consistent quality with minimal supervision
*Proficiency in both Mac and PC computing applications including email, Word, Excel, *PowerPoint and web navigation tools


Preferred\:
*Knowledge of motion graphic design and development, green screen video production and captioning
*Skilled in motion graphics/animation software

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
