Video Production Intern

Your Role

We are seeking a Video Intern to join our marketing team this summer. This is an incredible opportunity to learn and grow alongside leaders and industry experts within an Ai-powered tech company. You’ll be exposed to multiple areas within the marketing team, such as Product Marketing and Digital Marketing. Your contributions will impact real-world projects for both our users and Dialers.

This internship will be hybrid, with a minimum of 2 days in office, located in San Ramon. The role reports to the Sr. Content Manager. The program will run from June 16 to August 15, 2025.

About the team

Dialpad’s marketing team is responsible for:

Building brand awareness of Dialpad and its product to businesses of all sizes and governing the use of Dialpad’s brand across all of the company, website, advertising both internally and by partners. Delivering clear messaging about the value of Dialpad’s products, what problems/challenges Dialpad solves, and examples of how businesses will benefit from using them.  Educating potential buyers (VPs of Customer Support/Operations/Success)  about the value of an exceptional customer experience during all customer touch points. Delivering content, tools, and messaging to the Sales team to help drive a consistent story across all customer touchpoints.  Capturing these buyers through advertising, content downloads, or direct interest in seeing a demo and delivering these prospective buyers to the sales team. Analyzing data from all these interactions to continuously optimize, improve, and drive even more prospects to Sales.

About you

You’re a Film Student interested in understanding how video is used in marketing and in particular B2B tech marketing. You have experience working with various high-quality cameras, various lighting products, and sound (overhead booms, lapel mics, etc.). You have many hours of editing experience and can both shoot footage to then edit as well as take previously shot footage to edit. 

Skills You'll Bring

Current film student. Hybrid with at least 2 days in the office.  Local to San Ramon area (or will be for the summer). To be interviewed (both for our vetting and for their practice).

What you will achieve

      In your first 30 days you will:

Become familiar with the equipment in Dialpad’s Video Studio; understand the capabilities available; and be able to use/explain anything in the studio. Review all the Dialpad videos that currently exist, understand the look/feel of the current way Dialpad does video, and become familiar with the software we use for editing. Storyboard, shoot, and edit 3 or more videos for Dialpad - content TBD closer to the internship timing based on priorities. Create process/templates for rinse/repeat videos: PM interviews for product launches, Internal DialedIn video editing, Educational videos for customers.

      By the end of your internship you will have:

Successfully created 3 or more business-focused videos (2-3 minutes in length). Created at least one on-going process/templates for rinse/repeat videos. Worked in a tech marketing business environment and learn from professional designers, product marketing, and brand marketers.
