Stats Perform is seeking a dynamic Video Planner to join our Video Delivery team, this is a Full-Time Hybrid position in Aveiro, Portugal. 

 

As a Video Planner, you will work within Video Operations and be responsible for accurate and efficient fulfilment of duties for signal acquisition and distribution facilities of over 40,000 live events each year. The successful candidate must be passionate about sport and live broadcast, with previous experience in a demanding operational environment.  

 

You will be responsible for operating the Video Planning functions through the application of best practice and the most appropriate processes for the workload, ensuring the area has capacity to meet existing and future demand. You’ll need to quickly understand the requirements for delivering content across multiple products simultaneously, ensuring consistent output quality. You must also understand how to ingest video signals, route them to local production centres, and distribute them as needed. 

 

The position will require you to work occasional evenings, public holidays and weekends, as well as travel globally.  

 

Responsibilities: 

Ensure the timely fulfilment of schedules, collaborating closely with the Senior Video Planner and Team Lead to uphold service excellence aligned with departmental and team KPIs. 

Strategically allocate resources in accordance with the sports schedule, effectively managing workload capacity to meet current and future demands. 

Serve as the escalation point for operational decisions, working in tandem with the Master Control Room (MCR) and Video Engineering teams to swiftly identify and address issues. 

Foster strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, gathering essential information to facilitate successful event delivery. 

Maintain documentation covering all video planning responsibilities, demonstrating expertise in work systems and subject matter. 

 

Required Qualifications: 

Highly organized with a methodical data-driven approach to work. 

Proactive and self-motivated, with a positive outlook and the ability to motivate others. 

Financially astute, with a keen eye for continuous improvement opportunities and the ability to make balanced decisions. 

Strong time-management skills, with an ability to consistently meet tight deadlines. 

Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels. 

Professional demeanor with exemplary written and English proficiency.   

 

Desired Qualifications: 

Experience working with scheduling systems such as Dataminer, ScheduALL or similar platforms. 

Proficiency in accessing video via IP and satellite technologies, coupled with an understanding of sports event delivery workflows. 

Strong data manipulation and analysis skills, complemented by experience in high-pressure production or transmission environments.
