Video Intern

Eventive Sports is a Birmingham, Alabama-based sports marketing and event management company formed in 1995 by Ronald Bruno and Gene Hallman. We are experienced in all facets of event management, employing a year-round staff of more than 60 employees in 4 offices in the United States and one international office. Working with our affiliated companies and divisions, Eventive Sports (“ES”) services each client with expertise in all aspects of event management, marketing, and operations. We maintain a steadfast commitment to excellence utilizing vast experience, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.

This position is an opportunity to gain valuable sports-related videography skills as curated by the Video Producer for Eventive Sports, and to create an opportunity for the intern to showcase the aptitude for full-time employment within the Eventive Sports family. The internship will include the entire footprint of the Eventive Sports’ portfolio of events and create a true opportunity for the team to see the candidate in person ‘doing the job’, in all facets of the business.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Concept and create video and audio assets for social media campaigns Collaborate with the Social Media Manager and marketing team on creative development, versioning and production Support the management of the internal video library and content management system Ability to design within brand standards and ensure a consistent content voice and tone while still pushing creative boundaries Partner and collaborate with event management and accept constructive input and feedback Comfortable communicating within all levels of an organization Ability to schedule, appreciate, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Stay current with and provide thought leadership on design and industry trends Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro Familiarity with other Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator are an advantage but not required Proficiency in editing in horizontal and vertical content for various platforms. Understanding camera operation (DSLR, mirrorless, or cinema cameras) Knowledge of shot composition, framing, and angles Basic understanding of audio recording and editing Familiarity with audio equipment (e.g., boom mics, lavaliers) Knowledge of 3-point lighting setups Experience working with natural light and studio lighting equipment Understanding file formats, codecs, and proper organization of media assets Familiarity with cloud storage solutions (e.g. Dropbox) Strong understanding of narrative structure and pacing Ability to align video content with brand identity and messaging Experience creating simple animations or title sequences Understanding of keyframes and animation principles Knowledge of color theory and its application in video production Attention to visualize consistency and branding Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment Excellent people and organizational skills Self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to meet stringent deadlines and work under pressure Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time Knowledge/interest in sports is an advantage, but not required
