Overview The Summit at Snoqualmie, located in Washington, is conducting a search to identify an experienced Vice President of Resort Services. As the VP of Resort Services you will lead, synergize, and elevate our guest facing departments by facilitate a memorable experience in the mountains for our guests. This position plays a vital role in creating a high-level experience for our our guests, and is a member of the resort’s senior leadership team. This position reports to the General Manager of the resort. The Summit at Snoqualmie: “Seattle’s Home Mountain” The Summit at Snoqualmie, an hour from Seattle on Interstate-90, re-defines convenience, variety, and fun for skiers and snowboarders. Featuring famous steeps, back-bowls, terrain parks, a Nordic center and Tubing Park as well as great learning terrain. Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for the resort services division, aligning with company goals, vision and KPI’s. Program Development: Support daily operations of resort services division, including snow sports, rental, retail, guest services, ticketing operations, tubing operations and guest arrivals, transport, and resort security services. Staff Management and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of resort services professionals. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment for all divisional departments, promoting a culture of excellence, business acumen and guest-focused excellence. Safety and Risk Management: Implement and enforce safety procedures that involve conducting safety inspections, training, and making decisions that follow strong safety protocols. Budgeting and Financial Management: Develop and manage the resort services divisional budget, including revenue forecasts, expense control, and financial performance analysis with divisional management team. Guest Experience Management: Create and maintain exceptional resort experiences by addressing guest feedback, resolving guest issues, and enhancing service offerings. Collaboration and Communication: Effective communication and collaboration with other resort teams, organizations, and stakeholders are vital. Professional Development: Lead initiatives to introduce new services, improve existing offerings, and enhance overall guest satisfaction. Administration: Oversees and builds a high functioning leadership team that manages the department’s administrative requirements such as payroll, scheduling, and team member training.    Qualifications Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, build consensus, and drive results. Deep understanding of the skiing industry, including trends, customer expectations, challenges, and opportunities. Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and operational excellence. Strong understanding of budgeting process and Profit/Loss statements (P&L). Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to support seasonal operations and guest needs. Wage and Benefit Info: The wage range for this position, from $120,000 to $145,000 annually DOE This position is elgible for goal attainment incentives Benefits include: health, dental, vision Team member will accrue PTO and will earn 2+ weeks or more in a 12 month period. All individuals may contribute to the 401(k). An employee must work 1,000 hours in a calendar year to qualify for the discretionary match (there is a 2 year vesting cliff). All individuals accrue sick time at 1 hour per 40 hours worked to a maximum of 64 hours per year.
