Job Description:
At UPS Digital, you are stepping into an exciting phase where we are transitioning from a start-up to a scale-up. Your work will focus on simplifying logistics for our merchants across their value chain while creating new sources of revenue for UPS. You will play a key role in evolving our existing products to meet new needs and driving innovative, data-driven solutions that empower our merchants to grow and meet the demands of their end customers. These solutions include shipping insurance, predictive risk scoring, warehousing on demand, omni-channel orchestration, and more.
As a UPS Digital Product Leader, you will be pivotal in ensuring that our products meet market demands, fuel business growth, and sustain our competitive advantage within a $600M organization poised to scale beyond $1.5B. You will oversee a substantial product portfolio, lead a team of seasoned professionals, and collaborate closely with key stakeholders to shape the future of our offerings. In this high-visibility role, your ability to craft a compelling narrative and set clear goals will be essential, as you bring together the required product, tech, and business teams across the organization. You will hit the ground running with an innovative mindset and be ready to make an impact from day one.
Responsibilities:
Product Strategy and Vision: Develop and communicate a compelling product vision and strategy that aligns with the UPS Digital’s objectives and growth goals.
Market Research and Analysis: Shape and lead thorough market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and the ever-changing competitive landscape.
Problem Solving: Leverage exceptional problem-solving skills to solve customer needs and use analytics to drive product decisions.
Business Case Creation: Formulate clear and coherent business cases to practically assess optimum product investment options.
Product Development: Lead cross-functional teams to design, develop, and launch innovative products that deliver exceptional user experiences and drive new revenue streams.
Roadmap Planning: Define and prioritize the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and resource availability.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, including sales, marketing, technology, and customer support, to ensure successful product launches and ongoing product improvements.
Performance Metrics: Establish and track key product performance metrics to measure success, identify areas for improvement, and drive data-informed decisions.
Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to gather feedback, understand their pain points, and ensure our products exceed their expectations.
Qualifications
Minimum of 8 – 10 years of product management experience at a leadership level, including at least 3 years running a product with a proven impact to a P&L within a large organization. Previous start-up experience is highly attractive.Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.Passionate about understanding customer needs and delivering products that create value and satisfaction.Proven track record of building and scaling data and tech productsOutstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.Break down complex problems and challenges, articulate an appropriate story to each internal and external stakeholder groups to achieve buy in, trust and ensure the teams deliver the necessary impact.Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; excellent communication and leadership abilities; proven track record of successful product launches.Deep understanding of our industry and market, with the ability to anticipate trends and adapt quickly to changing conditions.Familiarity with product development processes and technologies; ability to work closely with engineering teams to make informed decisions.
