Asset-Backed Securitization & Financing (ABS&F) structures and executes capital markets and lending facilities to finance consumer and commercial financial assets across a wide range of asset classes. ABS&F offers our clients the ability to monetize stable, recurring cash flows from assets through bankruptcy-remote vehicles. Citi is a market leader in both traditional and non-traditional ABS asset classes and is consistently a top ranked underwriter of ABS on Wall Street. ABS&F executes ABS transactions with Consumer Loans (automobile loans and leases, credit cards, personal loans, solar and energy efficiency home improvement loans. and student loans), Commercial Loans (equipment loans and leases, transportation loans and leases, and SMEs), a well as other esoteric cash flows. Our transactions are executed both in the capital markets (where we place debt with institutional investors) and through Citi’s commercial paper conduits and Citi’s balance sheet. ABS&F offers a unique perspective as both an underwriter of transactions as well as a credit analyst for our lending business. ABS&F also advises clients on balance sheet management, execution of financial transactions and often provides secured financing and advice in conjunction with event driven transactions including M&As and restructurings. Our clients include leading captive finance companies, major banks, and independent financial companies both in the US and abroad. Our group regularly collaborates with analytics, trading, sales, syndicate, derivatives, corporate and investment banking professionals across the organizations. Members of our team are located in many cities around the world including New York, Hong Kong, London, Sao Paulo, and Sydney. **Vice President Role:** The Banker is a senior level position responsible for assisting clients in raising funds in the capital markets, as well as in providing strategic advisory services for other types of financial transactions in coordination with the Institutional Banking team. The VP Banker also serves as an intermediary in trading for clients. The overall objective of this role is to act as a strategic advisor to our clients by formulating funding strategies and raising capital for clients. **Responsibilities:** + Assume significant levels of responsibility for the various phases of project and transaction execution, new business development and overall growth of the firm + Work closely with clients on financing transactions and guide them through the capital raising process, including leading due diligence and drafting sessions and preparing them for an equity or debt offering + Work with clients, senior-level team members and outside professional advisors on ABS and other secured financing transactions + Responsible for drafting situation analyses, pitch materials, information memoranda, investor and management presentations and oversee work being performed by analysts & associates assigned to projects **Qualifications:** + 6-10 years of experience + Experience in the Financial Services industry, specifically within Banking + Degree in Finance or closely related areas of Business Administration + MBA or Master's Degree in Business preferred + Comprehensive knowledge of the corporate banking business and its related products, pertinent regulations and lending and credit approval processes + Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills + Experience with large corporate clients, capital markets products, derivatives, credit, cash management, trade, finance and securities products + Series 7 and 63 preferred **Education:** + Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience + Master’s degree preferred This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
