Vice President, Software Engineering
Job Description:

As the VP, Technical Product Owner of the Risk Workstation, you will blend technical and business development expertise with a passion for delivering results across Fidelity. 


As the Technical Owner you will direct Chapter Leaders and multiple squads of software engineers, business analysts, testers, etc. to modernize, expand and support the entire Risk Workstation portfolio of applications end-to-end. The successful candidate will be energetic about data and associated technology and infrastructure and championing the needs of our Fidelity Capital Markets partners and other business parties.

The Skills You Bring

You have a Series 99 license (or obtain it within 6 months of hire).

You have deep understanding of current data platforms.

You have strong background in brokerage trading applications/systems.

You have strong interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and data mining skills.

You have an innovative mind set.

You have strong leadership skills in order to lead multiple squads and work aligned to the client reporting modernization program.

You have the ability to work across functions, and interact, influence and negotiate optimally with various levels of management and peers.

You will set and prioritize an overall product strategy (identify the product capability needs, build and maintain a coordinated product roadmap, direct execution of roadmap with business partners).

You have a strong knowledge of AWS and containerization.

You have experience with Agile.


You have the technical experience with:

Java, Angular, AngularJS, Ionic4, HTML5, CSS, Typescript, JavaScript and Spring.

HTTP based APIs/RESTful JSON APIs.•    Oracle SQL/PLSQL experience with the ability to code/design complex procedural and SQL logic. SQL tuning knowledge is a must

ETL development experience (Informatica development preferred)

5+ years of report development experience (3+ years of Business Objects Universe and WEBI reports development preferred)

Software development experience 

Shell scripting

Scheduling tools like Control-M required.

The base salary range for this position is $124,000-$262,000 per year.  

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
