Job DescriptionThe Value-Added Services Product Development (VAS PD) team drives the diversification of our revenue with products that differentiate our network and deliver valuable solutions across other rails. The team’s strategy is to increase total merchant value by developing solutions that address complex and emerging merchant and acquirer needs.
The Vice President of Risk Solutions Product Development will lead the teams that build innovative, AI-driven risk and fraud management solutions for issuers and merchants. This role will be responsible for driving the strategy, planning, and execution of technology-related initiatives that support our business goals, with a focus on products including Visa Risk Manager (VRM), Decision Manager (DM), Visa Protect A2A, etc.
Develop, implement, and oversee strategic plans for the Risk Solutions technology team, ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives.
Oversee the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge payment risk and fraud management systems, ensuring they are secure, efficient, and scalable.
Continually assess the effectiveness of the existing systems and processes, making improvements or changes where necessary.
Collaborate with the Product teams to identify opportunities for new products and enhancements of existing products to meet our customers’ requirements and provide Visa with a competitive edge.
Lead and manage a high-performing technology team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. This includes hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management.
Stay abreast of the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in payment authentication and identity management, integrating them into the company's strategies and operations where beneficial.
Understand the cost of delivery and effectively estimate project costs for large, complex cross-functional projects.
Drive development of projects and lead teams across multiple geographical locations.
Provide leadership to teams across risk domains, establish high standards and best engineering practices.
Drive adoption and innovation of emerging technologies and industry trends.
Demonstrate thought leadership through presentations and teaching across Visa. Represent Visa as a technical advisor or spokesperson on external activities, particularly client engagement.
Champion a culture of innovation, in an environment that requires high levels of scalability, security and reliability. Understanding and use of GenAI technologies is a must.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 222,600 to 386,300 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
