We invite you to join the industry leader in parking and technology as we seek an accomplished and inspiring leader with multi-location experience to serve as a Vice President, Operations to oversee our commercial portfolio in Southern California. Reporting to the SVP, Operations (West), you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the Commercial Division’s strategic vision for Metropolis’ parking and transportation operations services and technology driven mobility solutions for Southern California.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do

Financial Leadership:

Spearhead the development and execution of strategic plans, budgets, and financial forecasts for parking operations.Monitor and optimize financial and operational performance across multiple locations to ensure profitability.Implement proactive measures to address budget discrepancies and recommend strategies for revenue maximization.Manage the P&L for a portfolio of more than 300 locations in Southern California with approximately $190 MM GPV.

 

Business Development:

Drive the development of new business opportunities for our best-in-class operations management services and suite of Metropolis technology solutions, while optimizing profitability in existing operations.Lead end-to-end business development processes, from account planning to successful client onboarding.Maintain a strategic balance in the operating/marketing split to achieve optimal growth.

 

Client Relationship Management:

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and understanding of operational and budgetary aspects.Lead negotiations and agreements with new clients, expanding the breadth and depth of business relationships.

 

Talent Development:

Champion the development of a high-performing team, creating and executing individualized development plans.Provide mentorship to team members and take corrective actions when performance falls below expectations.Foster an inclusive environment that supports the advancement and development of diverse talent. What you need

10+ years of experience overseeing multiple regions or a large geographic area in the parking industry5+ years overseeing efforts of high-level managers and directors to achieve strategic objectives.Previous experience in strategic planning, decision-making, and successful execution of initiatives in collaboration with executive leadership.Strong leadership skills with a focus on fostering collaboration and achieving results through a team of seasoned leaders.Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and align teams with overarching business goals.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with a diverse group of senior leaders within the organization.Proven ability to create and maintain a positive team culture that encourages professional growth and high performance.Proven track record of successfully meeting/exceeding budget expectations, development of new business and developing strong client relationshipsOther key competencies include: financial analysis skills, familiarity with contract structures and required terms; presentation skills; negotiation skills; and strong verbal/written communication skillsComputer skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint); Prior experience with budgeting software, Salesforce, P&L Review systems preferredBachelor's Degree in a relevant field; advanced degree or equivalent experience preferredLicense Requirement: Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record

 

Salary Range:  $225,000 - $255,000 per year
