Job DescriptionNBCUniversal is looking for a Vice President, Media Security to join our Global Security Operations team in New York City! In this challenging yet rewarding role, you will work alongside television professionals and talent while maintaining the overall safety of the site, its employees, show guests, and audience members.
In this role, you will oversee and coordinate security for the NYC Metro area, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific. You will oversee the team who ensures NBCUniversal’s employees and visitors, intellectual property and assets are protected and secure. You will report directly to the SVP, Media Security and will manage a global team.
Responsibilities
Lead a team to develop and implement programs that protect people and assets from infrastructure failure, theft, fraud, workplace violence, and sabotage or terrorismIdentify protection goals, objectives and metrics for the company and establishing a systematic, sophisticated, comprehensive and uniform approach to Security across the organizationAssure quality, consistency, and efficiency of security processes for operations/infrastructure, prevention, and crisis response across NBCUniversalOversee security planning, training, and operations for productions, including events staged in outdoor venues, organized in close coordination with local law enforcement and relevant state/federal agencies. Examples include live sporting events with high profile talentMaintain relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement, intelligence and other related government agenciesDirect and inform our partnerships with 3rd party security vendors to ensure they adhere to our policies and proceduresWork with members of the NBCUniversal Global Security Operations leadership team and other industry security leaders to prioritize initiatives and spending based on appropriate risk managementWork with business leaders to evaluate security staff, ensuring a high level of talent and upgrading where necessaryCollaborate with other functions such as Business Continuity and Crisis Management, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Real Estate, Medical, Legal, Human Resources and Communications on both the planning for and responses to security and crisis management-related incidentsPartner with related departments on investigations into security incidents/breaches and assist with any disciplinary or legal matters associated with such incidentsBuild relationships with peers in the media industry to benchmark as well as share intelligence and best practicesContinually and effectively communicate security issues and decisions impacting business operations with appropriate internal and/or external stakeholdersQualificationsRequired Qualifications
