About the Job:
Snowflake is seeking an experienced Vice President of Global Platform Sales to lead ourPlatform Sales specialist team. This leadership role is critical in incubating and scaling the go-to-market strategies for our priority workloads. As the Vice President, you will guide a team of workload-aligned sales specialists who possess deep product expertise and strong commercial acumen. In this role, you will work closely with our product, engineering, and field teams, as well as our customers, to drive successful sales strategies across the Snowflake platform. This highly visible role requires a unique blend of technical knowledge and business leadership, essential for advancing our product objectives through a deeply integrated GTM execution approach.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop GTM strategy: Create and drive go-to-market strategies for key workloads, aligned with Snowflake's goals.
Lead and mentor: Guide a team of sales specialists focused on workload-aligned sales.
Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure sales strategies are informed by product knowledge.
Be the customer advocate: Gather and communicate customer needs to influence product roadmap.
Drive executive engagement: Secure executive alignment through strategic discussions and workload positioning.
Design and execute sales plays: Develop innovative sales strategies to address market opportunities.
Partner with field sales: Integrate workload-specific sales efforts with broader Snowflake go-to-market strategies.
Analyze and optimize performance: Track sales performance, analyze data, and make adjustments to optimize results.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experienced Leader: 15+ years in data and analytics, with 10+ years in sales leadership at a tech/SaaS company focused on infrastructure software.
Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of a relevant data and analytics segment (e.g., AI/ML, data engineering, data warehousing).
Sales Acumen: Proven ability to develop and execute go-to-market strategies and sales plays that drive revenue growth in a competitive market.
Team Leadership: Successfully builds and leads high-performing, cross-functional teams.
Collaboration: Effectively collaborates with product and engineering teams to influence product roadmaps.
Communication: Excellent presentation skills, capable of articulating complex concepts to diverse audiences.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical field; MBA preferred.

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role: The estimated base salary range for this role is $269,000 - $409,500.Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan.
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
