Vice President, Fixed Income Platform
Job Description:

Fidelity Capital Markets (FCM) is seeking an experienced candidate to help drive Bond Beacon® as Fidelity’s next-generation, digital fixed income investment management and trading experience to its intermediary and institutional customers! The role is foundational in defining the strategy of the platform and associated features, functions, and capabilities to substantiate the vision. The role will leverage fixed income investment and trading knowledge, competitive marketplace benchmarking, analytic insights, and iterative client feedback to deliver a differentiating platform to our diverse client base.

The Role

Collaborative engagement with FCM product team members, client and industry partner engagements, and command of the market structure in order to define a 3-5 year platform strategic vision and associated implementation roadmap for execution by the Beacon platform team and associated technology and business partners.  You will be accountable for developing the electronic Beacon platform strategy that helps to solve for where customer needs, market structure, and Fidelity business value intersect.Managing a team of Bond Beacon team members to ensure execution of strategy.Establishing cases for the broader strategy across business divisions to achieve and maintain consistent customer experience and achieve Firm-wide goals while meeting business unit objectives.  Partnering with other leaders to establish an innovative culture across Fidelity with focus on customer centricity.Crafting and executing of the digital capabilities and integrations for the Bond Beacon platform.  Providing subject matter expertise in high-level technical and operational fixed income investment and brokerage workflows to advise successful and timely delivery of solutions to Fidelity clients.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

Extensive experience in financial services specifically bonds, with deep knowledge of investment and trading capabilities and their associated technology platforms. This will include vendor and custom portfolio analytics, portfolio construction platforms, portfolio optimization, trading platforms (OMS/EMS) and other key components of the investment lifecycle. Experience with fixed income investment/portfolio management, order management, and execution management systems.Senior executive communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills with which you influence and engage externally with customers and internally, across Fidelity and at all levels of the Firm and its clients.Standout colleague with a positive attitude and interest in growing a unique group within FidelityOutstanding analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of distilling analytic insights and customer behaviors leveraging data driven hypothesis from abstract and unstructured data.Strong technical abilities supporting platform strategy, design, and implementation within the technology and organizational systems associated with large entitiesDetail-oriented with a sense of urgency and ownership when addressing anything that poses a risk to our customers or our businessOutstanding organizational and communications skills.  Knowledge, interest, and passion for broad financial industry with an emphasis on fixed incomeBachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in finance, computer science, engineering or other quantitative discipline strongly preferred.
