The University of Florida Health Sciences Center is the country’s only academic health center with six health-related colleges on a single, contiguous campus. The Department offers a rich academic environment in molecular, cellular, and systems neuroscience. We are seeking an individual who has an established extramurally funded research program that complements the significant strength in fundamental neuroscience research in the department and who can bring unique expertise in human subjects/clinical trials approaches. Core areas of research strength in the department include neurodegeneration and injury, brain aging and cognition, and neuropsychiatric disease and substance use disorders. Beyond the department, excellent opportunities exist to collaborate with Ph.D. and M.D. physician-scientists through the College of Medicine and Evelyn F. and William L. McKnight Brain Institute. The successful candidate will be part of an academic community that prioritizes innovation, creativity, and collaboration, and that fosters each individual’s professional goals. The successful candidate will be tenured at the Associate or Professor rank in the Department of Neuroscience in the College of Medicine. This individual will have proven track record of collaboration and possess the skills to grow clinical translational research in the department as well as contribute to our robust educational mission. The Department of Neuroscience is the second-oldest neuroscience department in the country. Expected Salary: Commensurate with experience Minimum Requirements: Successful applicants will have a Ph.D. or equivalent Preferred Qualifications: Successful applicants should demonstrate excellence in clinical translational research including expertise in human subjects/clinical trial approaches, possess the ability to develop and lead clinical translational research programs within the department, and be willing to contribute to the department's education and service missions.
