Veterinary Technician

Seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our brand-new location in Grand Rapids Michigan – VCA Knapp’s Corner Animal Hospital is OPENING in September 2024.

Location: 2078 East Beltline Ave. Grand Rapids, MI 49525

Compensation: $ 20 - $ 24 / hour. Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials.

Schedule:  Full and Part-time positions available.  The hospital is open 6 days a week, M-F 7am- 9 pm & Sat 7am-5pm.  

Hiring timeline:  We are eager to start assembling a dynamic team for this new location with hiring beginning in July and training the first week of August 2024 to ensure each associate is prepared for our grand opening in September 2024.

Interviews (June +) -> Hiring (July +) -> Training (August +) -> Hospital opening (September)

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of veterinary experience in a general practice or emergency settingMust have a current veterinary technician certification in the state of Michigan or be eligible to transfer/obtain a certification in MI. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skillsWillingness to jump in as neededAble to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environmentComfortable asking for help and clarification when neededPossess high attention to detail
