Vertical Development Manager (F/H)
Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Vertical Development Manager to lead the development and growth of our hydronicS business in the building controls sector. This strategic role will focus on driving market share expansion, developing tailored solutions, and fostering relationships within the hydronic and building controls vertical. The successful candidate will combine technical expertise, market knowledge, and business acumen to deliver sustainable growth and innovation in the industry.

Job Responsibilities

• Define and implement the vertical market strategy for HydronicS in building controls, focusing on long-term growth, customer acquisition, and market penetration.

• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and market trends within the hydronic and building controls sector.

• Develop actionable sales plans and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

• Collaborate closely with R&D, product management, and engineering teams to ensure the development of cutting-edge building control solutions that align with market demands.

• Lead product positioning and differentiation initiatives for HydronicS solutions, highlighting value propositions to different customer segments.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including system integrators, building contractors, OEMs, and other stakeholders in the building controls ecosystem.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for high-priority accounts and projects, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

• Provide sales teams with the tools, knowledge, and support needed to successfully sell and implement HydronicS products and solutions.

• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to continually refine and adapt the market strategy.

• Support the project management team in the implementation of large-scale projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timelines.

Background & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

• Proven experience in vertical development, sales, or product management, with a strong focus on the hydronics, building controls, HVAC, or similar industries.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in hydronic systems, building automation, controls technology, energy management systems, HVAC controls, and smart building technologies

• Good business acumen with the ability to drive strategy and decision-making based on market insights and financial data.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across various levels of the organization.

• Ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and drive cross-functional teams to achieve goals.

• Fluency in English & French is required.
