In this role, you will:
Conduct comprehensive testing of UVC emitters against established standards and specifications.
Troubleshoot technical issues encountered during testing.
Support senior engineers with research, design, experiment setup, and development.
Regularly inspect and maintain test fixtures, equipment, and laboratory facilities to ensure optimal functionality and safety, and recommend upgrades or modifications to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and throughput.
Develop and write test specifications, standard operating procedures,and test reports.
Are you qualified? The essential requirements of the job include:
Enrolled in Mechancial/Electrical Engineering or Technology post secondary program
SolidWorks or similar experience
Experience designing, building, and testing prototypes
Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly
Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
Good verbal and written communication skills.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Optical measurement and design
LabVIEW proficiency
Mechanical Fixturing
Mechanical/Electrical Instrumentation Experience
SolidWorks or similar experience
Experience with electrical drawings
Experience with database design
Experience with handling of small electronics
Experience with electrostatic discharge (ESD) safe practices
Proficiency in scripting languages and macros for numerical simulation (e. g. MATLAB, Python)
Are you qualified? The essential requirements of the job include:
- Electrical and mechanical aptitude
- Demonstrated Python programming skills and data analytic capabilities
- Able to assemble and test prototypes
