MRI Software is looking for Verification Specialist to join our team. The following is a summary of the essential functions of this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

Coordinate with MRI insurance provider and Client to ensure timely tracking for all insurance policies, both preferred and third-party insurance policies.  Such tracking shall include verifying that all residents listed on the Client’s rent roll (as provided by Client’s property management software system) have a current insurance policy and that such insurance policies adhere to the client’s outlined insurance policy requirements.Enter, validate, and maintain resident policy information and proof of insurance for client’s property managers and leasing agents.Maintains timely tracking of all interested party notifications, both preferred and third-party insurance policies.  Identifies the correct action to take based on the interested party notifications.Communicates with residents who do not meet the client’s outlined insurance policy requirements that they must obtain valid, satisfactory insurance per their lease agreement with the client.  Provides the same information to the property where the defaulting resident resides and informs of the follow up action taken or to be taken.Advise on forced insurance policies for residents who do not meet the Client’s outlined insurance policy requirements based on Client’s rent roll (as provided by Client’s property management software system)Answers inbound calls and fields questions pertaining to an existing resident’s mandatory insurance program and determines the appropriate course of actionExcellent phone etiquette, dedication to customer service, and strong problem-solving abilitiesAnswer all calls; de-escalating the call where appropriate and providing solutions that leave the customer satisfied with the resolutionFlexibility to take on ad hoc responsibilities or assistance with special research or project orientated tasks whereas may be neededLaisse with client experience specialist on queries and discrepancies and discussions on possible solutions to themProvide superior service by delivering a WOW experience for both independent agents and National General Insurance customersGenuine interest in technology and a passion to deliver cutting-edge software and services and adapt to the daily changes that come with that

Skills & Other RequirementsAssociates or Bachelor’s degree (US) or Business Diploma/Certifications (ZA)  fields of study may include communications; business administration; management or a related fieldPrevious experience in insurance operations with renter’s insurance, multi-family insurance, personal auto, commercial, or other related insurance preferredCommunicates effectively through oral and written communicationProficient at considering process improvements on a continuous basis and sharing opportunities with Client Experience Specialist TeamAbility to adhere to schedules while maintaining an acceptable level of service, customer satisfaction and quality but at same time demonstrate flexibilityAnalysis and attention to detail are a mustDemonstrated proficiency in MS Excel, including queries
