Vendor Setup / Liens Intern

*NOTE* - this position is located onsite at Viterra's Corporate Headquarters in Omaha, NE.

Job Summary:

The Vendor Setup / Liens Intern will provide support to both the Vendor Setup and Lien Teams working with both the Ingredients and Grain groups to ensure accurate and timely internal customer service. Attention to detail is important to ensure that all setup requirements are met and correctly filed and documented in SharePoint. Additionally, the Vendor Setup / Liens Intern will have the opportunity to provide recommendations for improvements to support the department’s short and long-term goals while gaining valuable customer service and accounting related experience.

 

Essential Job Functions:

Establish and maintain a positive and effective relationship with the business desks and elevator support staff to create a strong business partnership. Verify for accuracy the onboarding information provided from all users. Review and research requests for possible duplicates. Provide excellent customer service by fostering positive relationships related to the set-up process with the Viterra team. Work proactively to ensure all policies are followed. Learn requirements to evaluate and update Carrier Insurance status and documentation. Acquire an understanding of each state’s lien rules and requirements. Verify accuracy of commodity payable disbursements to customer and lienholder. Review new farmer setups for liens to add on their account. Maintain SharePoint documentation and ensure it is updated and properly categorized.

Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:

Minimum 2 years of college level coursework and/or applicable trade school program, working towards a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics Ability to effectively work as part of a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly motivated team with strong attention to detail. Strong analytical, organizational, time management, interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications – particularly Microsoft Excel Ability to work independently.

 

Special Demands:

Position is located in an open-concept office environment requiring prolonged periods of sitting and the ability to focus amidst surrounding activity. Position requires operation of a computer and other standard office equipment (copier, calculator, printer)
