Vendor Operations Manager
Minimum qualifications: + Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. + 7 years of experience in operations or business management, and vendor management. + Experience managing vendor operations and setting up managed service operations from the ground up. Preferred qualifications: + 7 years of experience managing large-scale and dynamic operational projects, with competing resources, priorities and changing workflows. + Experience managing Security Engineering (e.g., malware detection or reverse engineering) related operations. + Expertise in the business process, with the ability to envision and create processes of varied complexity levels. + Understanding of operating expenditure, budget and cost saving drivers. + Exceptional executive leadership, communication and multi-level collaboration skills. + Excellent structured problem solving capabilities. Our team is a central Vendor Operations team across Google. We partner with stakeholders across various Product Areas and provide support including but not limited to operations consulting, vendor management, operational reporting and analytics, drive cross-Product Area programs and help operationalize product outlook in a compliant and scalable manner. The overarching objective of our team is to augment the productivity of our stakeholders. Furthermore, we endeavor to introduce economies of scale, enhance operational efficiency, and exercise thorough operational diligence. These objectives are realized through the deployment of vendor operations. As a member of this team, your primary responsibilities will involve deep data immersion, analysis-driven insights extraction, and a broader perspective to formulate coherent and strategic recommendations. Furthermore, you will actively engage in the development and execution of high-impact supplier programs, encompassing cost negotiations, supplier performance management, and assessment of your recommendations' outcomes through follow-ups. You will join a central business operations office serving various organizations at an early stage, with a focus on enhancing productivity and efficiency across Google. In this role, you will be a professional, experienced, and driven vendor manager to support Platforms and Devices and Core Product Areas. Your job will require you to be a trusted advisor and build solid relationships with internal stakeholders (vertical managers) to help transform their supplier engagements and drive operational efficiencies. You will have experience in strategic supplier development, cost and agreement negotiations, supplier performance management, call center management and/or other related areas. You should be open to working flexible hours to collaborate and support global teams effectively. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$185,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
