The VDC Engineer I supports constructability and coordination tasks on a project by using technology and processes.
Responsibilities Utilizes 3D design software to identify, communicate, and resolve project challengesCombines all building discipline models into 3D design software coordination modelReviews coordination models for constructability issues utilizing the software’s clash detection capabilitiesAssigns responsible party(s) for issue resolution; verifies and documents with meeting minutes, submittals, RFIs, and updated modelsCommunicates with internal and external project teams; facilitates meetings to resolve project issues, review schedules, or other project documentationUtilizes Reality Capture technology, such as laser scanning and drones, to support project deliverablesParticipates in Business Unit (BU) office and department activities including orientation programs, training sessions, and peer group meetingsSupports 1 VDC deliverable under supervision QualificationsKEY COMPETENCIES

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Building Information Modeling (BIM) or related field0-1 years of VDC Coordination experienceOr equivalent combination of education and experienceKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Strong problem-solving skillsStrong time-management and analytical skillsKnowledge and functional use of BIM design softwareBasic understanding of construction documentation Strong interest in design concepts and integrated building components and systemsStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentSalary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
