We are currently seeking a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist on a full-time/part-time/PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. As a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist (or Vascular Sonographer), you will perform diagnostic non-invasive vascular procedures on adult and geriatric patients with a high degree of quality as requested by the ordering physician following established policies and procedures. Your tasks and responsibilities as a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist include but are not limited to: + Obtain and record all pertinent clinical information relating to the procedure ordered including but not limited to collative study results, reason for the procedure, patient complaints/symptoms and history relating to the ability to withstand a vascular procedure + Facilitate the vascular procedure by proper placement of the probe in accordance with the instructions in the department policy and procedure manual + Assist, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring their modesty and physical safety, utilizing auxiliary equipment and or devices needed + Check the operation of equipment, maintain cleanliness of procedure area and equipment to prevent cross contamination of contagious diseases, and keep area stocked with necessary supplies _Please note our facility is a Level II Trauma Center which requires availability for rotating call assignments._ **Qualifications** · High school diploma or GED · Associate degree · Basic Life Support (BLS) certification · Eligible for ARDMS registration; **RVT preferred** · One (1) to three (3) years of experience, preferably in an acute-care setting **HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital has been serving the Hudson, FL community since 1981.
