Responsibilities:
Assists patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation, ensuring safety.Writes legibly on designated forms.Maintains clean, orderly rooms and changes bed linens.Monitors oral intake, assists with meals, and ensures patients are fed before breaks.Maintains clinical competency and CPR certification.Leaves area only after notifying and getting approval.Participates in Fall Prevention and performance improvement activities.Floats to other areas with a positive attitude.Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals, including patient ID accuracy, effective communication, medication safety, infection prevention, fall risk reduction, Universal Protocol compliance, and suicide risk assessment.Supports department safety goals, proactively reducing risks and responding to incidents.Available for Hurricane Activation Plan teams.Reports incidents per hospital policy.Complies with hospital security and safety policies.Performs other related duties.Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting, with specific experience in handling vascular access devices preferred.Licensure/Registration/Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Certification such as Licensed Practical Nurse, Certified Medical Assistant, etc., preferred.Education: High School Diploma required.Benefits:
