Job Overview

TE Connectivity's operations managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations and short/long-term planning of the group they manage. They manage manufacturing, production control, engineering, inventory control, EH&S, +people, etc. Focusing on the development of technologies and continuous improvement and translating customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes.  The Value Stream Manager for Aerospace, Defense, and Marine will assess, guide, and monitor the Rapho machining site and intercompany trade with other TE Connectivity customers.

Responsibilities

Safety

Formulate and perfect the department's EHS management system and operational procedures and ensure effective implementation.
Fully understand and implement EHS responsibilities to ensure EHS work in the department meets relevant requirements.
Set departmental and individual EHS performance targets according to laws regulations and requirements of the company, and check and evaluate the completion of the targets regularly.
Check the safety situation of the production site regularly to eliminate all kinds of unsafe factors and prevent accidents.


Delivery, Project Management,  Quality and TEOA

Review & monitor the maintenance plan & execution; Approve the Purchase Request for equipment and parts, provide overall equipment maintenance instruction and monitor the execution to ensure equipment, operates reliably and improves daily operating efficiency.    
Reduce the costs and improve the efficiency of the department, organize and plan key improvement projects, and monitor the implementation of these projects (Tebit Saving, Kaizen)
Lead the improvement, training, and cooperation with the plant in implementing the TEOA excellent operation objectives, actively participate in TEOA training, and use TEOA tools for improvement, such as VS Transformation, CCF, etc.
Represent Rapho at product, and leadership reviews where stakeholders align on actions and ensure customer deliveries are met.
Develop and implement machining function budget and plan; allocate function target to subordinates; and monitor the achievement of the budget and overall performance to achieve targeted performance.    
Ensure operational capabilities (skills and production capacity) are aligned with the long-term strategy to meet future product demand.
Coordinate the evolution of the footprint in the Americas region to drive a competitive advantage including the assessment of the required resources, competence, and capabilities.
Monitor the supply side of raw materials and align with procurement on any risk mitigation activity.
Proactivity supports factories and vendors in response to abnormal demands, capacity bottlenecks, stock-outs, supply shortages, and logistics challenges.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to identify and remove quality and productivity/yield barriers in production.


People 

Allocation & balance of workload among employees, review & provide timely performance feedback, monitor & mentor team members.
Identification of competitive resources to the  team, resolving people/functional issues in the team

What your background should look like: Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years’ experience, including 3+ years’ leadership experience.   Preferred degree in engineering / supply chain.   Leadership - requires the ability to lead, negotiate, take charge, and collaboratively manage others, in a fast-moving and challenging environment Strong Project Management & Communication Skills  Skilled in Lean, Value Stream Mapping in Manufacturing, and supply chain  Experience in delivering presentations to Top Management  Familiar with quality systems and tools. Experiences in operator training and development Planning knowledge and experiences Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful Emotional Intelligence Lean/6 Sigma knowledge and project experiences. COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $96,400 - 144,600 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
