Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Validation Engineer in the Morrisville, NC area. In this role, you will perform validation tasks for our clients cutting-edge server hardware and software solutions. If you have expertise in Linux, system validation, and server architecture this will help ensure the reliability and performance of the ThinkSystem servers and firmware.

1st shift.Monday to Friday.Pay rate: $27-31.25/hr.Affordable health insurance you can actually use, including $5 copays, $5 prescriptions, and free Telehealth services.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute comprehensive test plans on server hardware and firmware.Set up, deploy, and reconfigure server hardware and systems.Conduct research and analyze new server functions to ensure system performance.Review and validate test plans and test cases.Identify, document, and communicate defects to the development team.Find automation opportunities and develop or request automation tools as needed.


Work Experience

Qualifications & Skills:

Experience with server operating systems, including Linux (RedHat, SuSE, Ubuntu), and familiarity with Windows and VMWare.Strong understanding of UEFI, systems management protocols, and various server subsystems.Knowledge of product validation, unit testing, and error injection processes.Familiarity with client, AMD, or ARM architectures.Ability to comprehend technical documentation such as system or protocol specifications.Knowledge of validation methodologies and automated testing frameworks.Programming or scripting skills (Python preferred) are a plus.Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with problem-solving abilities.
