The Valet Assistant Manager supports day-to-day operations of valet and parking services. This role ensures efficient service delivery, supervises frontline staff, maintains high customer satisfaction, and assists with administrative and operational tasks under the direction of the Valet Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Supervision:Supervise valet drivers, dispatchers, and lot attendants.Ensure team compliance with airport regulations, safety standards, and customer service protocols.Provide on-the-spot coaching, performance feedback, and daily briefings.Assist in scheduling shifts and managing staff coverage.Operational Oversight:Monitor vehicle flow, key control systems, and valet inventory tracking.Monitor performance metrics and development of operational policies and procedures .Troubleshoot logistical challenges (e.g., traffic flow, peak hour congestion).Coordinate with airport security and transit operations as needed.Support smooth transitions during shift changes and handovers.Customer Service:Handle escalated customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.Ensure a high standard of professionalism and courtesy from all staff.Maintain a visible presence in valet zones during peak times.Administrative Duties:Assist with preparing daily reports, employee timesheets, and incident documentation.Monitor revenue generation.Monitor adherence to contract service level agreements (SLAs).Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new valet staff.Compliance & Safety:Enforce OSHA, DOT, and airport-specific safety protocols.Conduct routine safety inspections and briefings.Report accidents or violations in accordance with company and airport procedures.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (preferred)Minimum of five (5) years managing a valet parking operation ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and providing a World Class product to airport guestsPossess a strong knowledge of motor carrier operations and all current Federal and State regulatory laws on transportation.Valid driver’s license with clean driving recordMust pass airport security background checks and obtain required badgesFamiliarity with valet technology platforms and scheduling softwareAbility to work outdoors in all weather conditions and during irregular hoursSkills & Attributes:
