Job Summary:

Under minimal supervision, the position creates web and mobile user interface designs and research artifacts by executing the activities of the J.B. Hunt User Experience Design (UXD) process and producing the deliverables of that process for a software development project. The position also follows the User Experience Governance (UXG) process.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Updates the style on design artifacts (web/mobile) using Adobe suite

• Participates in research activities with the end-user such as card sorting, user feedback, user interviews, product analytics, and usability testing to create research artifacts and updates research artifacts accordingly

• Creating interaction and visual artifacts (like: wireframes, user flows, mockups, prototypes) by reviewing business requirements and implementing designs to help the business achieve their goals using J.B. Hunt UX practices and design system on small/medium scale projects.

• Collaborates and consults to facilitate relationships with Product Managers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, UX Designers, and Developers by understanding business goals, advocating for the user, explaining design processes and artifacts, implementing feedback, and understanding the technical feasibility of designs

• Creates visual assets (like: icons, logos, lockups) by keeping a consistent style and accurately representing the intended use.

• Presents designs and/or research findings to project leaders to explain user goals and alignment with business goals, and listen to feedback

• Resolves questions, clarifications, and design implementation issues by consulting with development teams during their analysis, design, construction, and testing phases in order to ensure proper implementation of proposed designs.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Information Technology, Computer Science, Graphic Design, or related field, or foreign equivalent, or suitable combination of education, experience and training.plus 2 years of experience in User Experience with technologies such as: Figma, Adobe Creative Software Suite, Invision, Loop 11, Sketch, JavaScript, Java, CSS, or HTML

Compensation:

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.  This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
