In this position, you will be an important member of the facilities team. This team is critical for keeping our organization in optimal working condition so that we can provide the best care possible to our patients. In this position, you will help support the maintenance team by responding to requests to install, maintain, repair, and inspect mechanical equipment and systems. You will be supporting range of maintenance assignments using careful judgment to make decisions requiring the application of procedures and practices to specific work situations, and in line with OSHA safety guidelines. Some highlights about this opportunity include:
Full time role form 2:30p-11p (Great for night owls)Working during the evening hours is attributed with an up to 22% shift differential on top of your base payOpportunity to make a broad and reaching impact across multiple stakeholder/departments within the organizationOpportunity to work with an expert group of craftworkers from a variety of trade backgroundsThe Glens Falls Hospital Impact

How You Will Fulfill Your Potential
Responsibilities
Perform service and repair activities for a wide variety of patient and customer needs including but not limited to:lighting repairs/replacementsheating/cooling callsplumbing repairsceiling tile replacementsminor electrical repairsminor painting, patching, and carpentry repairsPerform preventive and predictive maintenance activities on hospital equipment and systems such as:Cleaning/lubricating equipmentManaging filter changesRefrigerant handlingCleaning heat pump and fan/coil unitsChecking lighting, exit signage, and doorsInstalling and repairing signage, pictures, cabinets, shelving, window coverings etc.Repairing/maintaining stretchers, carts, wheelchairs and other equipment as requiredRepairing and rebuilding machinery, motors and equipment found in the hospital utility systems/departments as well as beds, stretchers, and wheelchairsAssisting skilled trades as necessaryThe Impact You Can Make
