Position Purpose:

Maintains kitchen work areas and equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition by performing the duties below.

What you will Do:

Runs dish machine.Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, pots, pans, CA meal carts.Monitors and controls cleanliness of tray cart, dish trash receptacles, and dish machine.Transfers supplies, equipment and food between storage and work areas.  Complies with all sanitation and safety requirements. Maintains required department confidentiality and abides by HIPPA regulations.Takes an active role in enhancing ability to carry out job functions through personal and professional/job-related growth and development, and participates in medical center and/or departmental education programs.

Education [formal]/Experience:

No education requiredOne month related experience or training preferred

Special Skills and Competencies:

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
