Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

Major Responsibilities / Ongoing Tasks Well planning to schedule the regular PM/PDM. Need to take care for mechanical issue troubleshooting, and root cause analysis and provide solutions in the system. Leading project in system improvement to achieve better efficiency. Lead or support new equipment or system installation. Gathering the information, knowledge from Division wide or external resource to apply in the system reliability improvement and develop the results in technical report. Standard operation procedure development and teach shift people or engineers for new SOP deployment. Resource management, including parts, manpower to schedule the task without safety issues. Well apply the PDM tools, like vibration measurement. To report out the issues with professional data analysis and clear logical process. Identifies, justifies, and implements cost reduction and improvement projects. Meet all Environment、Health、Safety requirements. Design, install, debug and or specifies new equipment or modifies existing equipment to continuously improve system reliability and decreased maintenance cost. To have working knowledge of mechanical systems related to all facilities equipment within the Plant. Meet Facility department requirement and conduct rigorous change control and clear communication with all. To establish and update system SOS/Base Case/PM/ER SOP as needed and ensure all SOP were performed by technicians. To assist with cross function for some issues related to facilities. To ensure system and mechanical drawings are archived properly within the plant.
  Education & Experience

Required

Engineer – Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical. 3~5 years of experience in Facility domain. 3~5 years of mechanical operation experience repairing and/or installing equipment. 3~5 years of experience using vibration measurement. Experienced in system start-up, inspection, commissioning, and acceptance. Experience using Microsoft office (Word / Excel / power point) 

Desired 

Master of Science (Engineering or Technical) Project management experience  Pump and pipeline design experience
  Required Skills Familiar with the practice of equipment develop, design, select, purchase, start-up, and debug. Trouble shooting skills such as bearing replacement etc. Familiar with equipment such as PM/PDM program Knowledge of base design conceptual in equipment development such as pump sizing, pipeline etc. Knowledge of vibration measurement Understand PFD and PID drawing.
  Soft Skills Good at problem solving and logical thinking and decision making. Communication, coordination, and follow-up ability  Good presentation and reporting skill  Good English capability Commitment to meeting and exceeding goals Enjoys the challenge of unfamiliar tasks. Good at using drawing design tool, such as Auto CAD, 3D…
